Ricky then fronted Harlow (2004–2009), releasing the album “Unstoppable” produced by Grammy-winner Randy Cantor (Ricky Martin). He also contributed vocals to Apollo 13, Anywhere But Here, and Anastasia, and appeared in American Dreams, Boston Public, Audrina (Vh1), and Debbie Allen’s ballet Pepito’s Story at the Kennedy Center.
In 2014, The Blue Album followed, including “Boys & Sometimes Girls” which hit #28 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. He released The New Alpha in 2017, which featured Billboard Top 40 single “If You Were My Baby (Remixes)” and made Loudwire’s Top 75 Albums of 2017. HuffPost called the album “explosive and compelling.”
He toured with The New Alpha across SXSW, the UK, and Cannes.
He co-headlined The Artist One Tour with JAX and Carl Chaze, and performed with Alisan Porter (winner of The Voice) at the American Influencer Awards. Between 2015–2017, he shared stages with Kesha, Mya, Patti LaBelle, Switchfoot, and more.
In 2018, Ricky performed on Univision’s float at NYC Pride and launched a Summer Pride tour. His hit “Boys & Sometimes Girls” was also featured in Facebook’s Queen America starring Catherine Zeta Jones. He was invited to LOVELOUD Festival with Imagine Dragons and launched his jewelry line, Ricky Rebel Renaissance by Astrophytum.
In 2019, The New Alpha video was selected at the New Renaissance Film Festival in Amsterdam. He walked the GRAMMY red carpet (making ELLE’s “Most Outrageous GRAMMY Outfits in History” list) and toured Japan, where he was honored by tea master Watanabe Tsutomu.
He also performed at political events like the #DemandFreeSpeech rally in DC and American Priority Festival in Miami.
In 2020, Ricky returned to the studio with Grammy-nominated producer Gary Miller (Cher, Bowie, Kylie) and once again made international headlines with his GRAMMY red carpet appearance.
In 2021, he released The Royal Collection, a greatest hits compilation featuring mixes by Miller and Tommy Joe Ratliff (Adam Lambert). That same year, he launched Ricky Rebel Fitness, a digital fitness video series.
In 2022, Ricky dropped his fourth album, Wild Reality, co-produced by Gary Miller and Wayne Fowks.
In 2023, “Time Will Tell” from Wild Reality was featured in the award-winning animated film Apocalypse Love. He returned to Japan, performing in Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, and Tokyo in collaboration with fashion brand TOKKOU.
In 2024, Ricky became a co-host on The Hollywood Rebel Report on NBC/CNBC’s KCAA radio, syndicated globally via iHeartMedia. His “Sonic Boom” video, directed by Daisuke Tarutani, made history by winning Best Music Video at the Europe Music Video Awards — the first for a Japanese production team.
In 2025, Ricky’s album Veronica was considered for two GRAMMY Awards: Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year.
